At this time, no RVs/camping or staying on properties is allowed. We recommend that guests stay in one of the few hotels in Madison.
Guests are welcome to hunt anywhere on the property and bounce around; however, we have recommendations for where you should start depending on the species you're looking to hunt.
Deer Hunting
Our recommend parcel for deer consists of 105 acres, located a few miles northwest of Madison. In the northwest corner of the property, we have a small section of timber where the deer like to hang out. The property is also partially bordered by neighboring shelterbelts, so hunters may catch deer as they transit from the shelter through our field.
Pheasant Hunting
Our recommend parcel for pheasant consists of 144 acres, located about 10 miles northeast of Madison. The property is mostly grassland with cropland, providing needed sources of cover and food for birds.
Goose Hunting
Our recommended parcel for geese consists of 62 acres, located just over 30 miles east of Madison. This property is on the other side of Interstate 29, closer to the Dell Rapids area.

During my visit, Clayton informed me that he bumps pheasants all the time while working in the fields, while he routinely sees deer using the fields as a food source.

Clayton was polite and responsive immediately. Guided us through the properties that held birds. We even saw a covey of sharp tail grouse which I’ve never seen in this area of SD. This would be a good property for 2 or 3 hunters looking to hunt for 2-3hrs. Thanks Clayton

Clayton was a great host. There is one main pheasant property and it held birds. It is relatively small, the cover is good, and it can be hunted in an afternoon.
