Tentative Dates: 9/16/24 - 10/15/24

Please take a look at our game cam photos of the deer we have on the property this year. We do our best to keep pictures up to date and in the order they were captured.

Sportsmen are permitted to camp/RV on property. Sportsmen can arrive as early as 4AM on the first day of your scheduled booking. We ask that sportsmen depart the property by at least 9PM on the final day of your scheduled booking. This will hopefully allow you full property use of all days.

This property is located in Wisconsin's Central Farmland Zone 2.

We thoroughly believe in Fair Chase here on the farm and have high expectations for the hunters that we permit on the property. We expect that all hunters use best judgment and take ethical shots. If you wound a deer, that will count as your harvest.

Harvest Requirements:

Our county works hard to produce 4, 5, and 6+ year old bucks that dreams are made of. This is done by passing on bucks up to 3 years old. We ask that you harvest a buck that is 4+ years old and scores 130” or better.

Stand Location and Information:

1st Logging Road Ladder Stand – This has proven to be a great morning stand at certain times of the season, and by morning, meaning all the way up to 12 noon. Located in a narrower strip of woods along the county road, you can catch deer moving from the neighboring ag fields to the east coming back to this property to bed during the day. Hunting this stand with a wind out of the east, south or even west is ideal, especially in the morning when thermals are rising.

Honey Hole Platform Stand – This is a pop-up ground blind that is placed on a 3’ tall, elevated platform with a stairway and handrail. This blind is positioned with a pond 40 yds to the northwest and a 1/3-acre food plot to the south. Located on the eastern side of a slope and only a short distance into the woods with large ag corn fields to the west is an easy blind to slip into and hunt on nearly any wind except a wind out of the southeast. This stand has had good movement on certain days in the morning up until 12noon and in the afternoon/evening as deer are coming from ag to bedding in the morning and then from bedding back out to ag in the evenings.

1st/Front Tower Blind – This is a 10’ tall tower with a heater located just up the hill from the Honey Hole on a high point of this ridge being able to overlook both the 1/3-acre food plot to the southeast and a 1-acre food plot to the southwest. The primary intention of this tower is for gun hunting but would also work with a crossbow. Note: a compound bow does not work well out of this tower.

Oak Ridge Ladder Stand – This stand is best for an afternoon sit all year, especially when there’s a bumper crop of acorns. Acorns are the king of an early-season food source that no food plot can compete with. It is located just inside the woods at the start of a long ridge of white oak trees overlooking a young peach tree orchard with its first tree producing peaches for the 2023 season and a 1-acre food plot to the north. Deer move from their daytime bedding out to the larger ag fields to the north but are sure to stop for acorns as well as hitting our 1-acre food plot before heading off to the ag.

Big Ravine Ladder Stand – This stand was placed in the heart of the property directly down the hill to the west of the oak ridge stand located in the big ravine that runs up the center of this property. Strategically placed on a logging road at ditch crossings with bedding to the north/west to intercept the “x” movement of deer crossing the property from all directions, especially during the rut. A great stand to get into in the morning for the long all-day sit if you can handle it. Any wind out of the southernly direction is good, be cautious of evening cooling thermals that can get you busted.

Fruit Bowl Tower – This is a 5’ tower blind that can be hunted with any weapon. Located at the head of the big ravine with 1/3-acre of diverse food plots on a south facing slope. The name of this blind comes from the variety of young fruit trees surrounding this dish-shaped area. These trees (apple, pear, plum, persimmon and pawpaw) are not producing yet as of 2023 but will only make this location better than it already is in the future. But rest assured deer move through this plot frequently coming from their bedding in the big ravine heading north to the ag fields. A great afternoon blind pretty much all season and both mornings and afternoons throughout the rut. Bring your portable heater to this blind if you want warmth.

Skinny Pinch Calf Hutch Platform Stand – This is a blind built out of a calf hutch that is placed on a 3’ tall, elevated platform with a stairway and handrail. This blind is located to the southwest of the fruit bowl across the head of the big ravine and positions at a pinch point ditch crossing to intercept cruising deer coming from bedding and food plots located to the south making their way to the ag fields. This location is set up to be especially good during the rut in a travel corridor offering hunt ability during winds out of nearly any direction other than north-northwest.

Back Plot Calf Hutch Platform Stand – This is another blind built out of a calf hutch that is placed on a 3’ tall, elevated platform with a stairway and handrail. This blind is located on a 1-acre “Y” shaped food plot due west of oak ridge all the way across the big ravine at the top of the hill. This is a great afternoon location for most of the year and both mornings and afternoons during the rut. The shape of this plot and the elevation changes at this location provide a high probability that deer will pass by this blind and that you will be able to see them coming from just about any direction. This stand is good to sit with the wind coming out of any southernly or easternly direction.

Back Tower Blind – This is a 10’ tall tower with heater located just up the hill from the back plot calf hutch platform stand on a highest point of the west side of this property being able to overlook the 1-acre “Y” shaped plot to the northeast and a pond and ½ acre food plot to the south. The primary intention of this tower is for gun hunting but would also work with a crossbow. Note: a compound bow does not work well out of this tower.
