2023 Big Game Hunting Package ($4000 for a 7-day hunt)at Elk Creek Adventures
The 1-Week Hunting Package includes use of the Elk Creek Adventures cabin and access to the approximately 3000 acres deeded and controlled by the Lazy K R Bar Ranch. One week is defined as after noon on Sunday to prior to noon on Saturday. Up to 6 guests are allowed to use the cabin; however, only 4 actual properly licensed hunters are allowed to hunt at one time.
The property is in Unit 411 for elk and deer.
Archery Season: 9/2/23 - 10/15/23
General Season: 10/21/23 - 11/26/23
Muzzleloader Season: 12/9/23 - 12/17/23
I have hunted Shane's place a few times, and I have always seen elk! Thick timber surrounds the property with open fields throughout that are frequented by elk, deer, the occasional antelope, and turkeys.

Only native natural grasses are available to the domestic and wild grazing animals. The land on the ranch is not farmed.

I really like bow hunting for elk on the Lazy K R Bar Ranch, which is why Elk Creek Adventures exists. I grew up on the ranch and I now take care of the property for my Dad. This is a working cattle ranch in the summer for grazing a little over 200 head of cattle. The elk mating season draws a lot of bull elk during bow season. Just seeing the elk and hearing the bulls talk to each other and to hear the bulls fighting is exciting enough in itself. We have adjoining access to state and federal land that lend themselves to good big game hunting also. I have three younger sisters and all four of us are involved in Elk Creek Adventures. The cabin that my Dad built on the old homestead site is magnificent. The cabin does not have running water, yet...
